After a dominating performance in February 2020, Fury now awaits a third fight with the “Bronze Bomber.” It is perhaps one of the most important matches of both men’s careers. Should Fury win the third fight, there will be no doubt that he is the better boxer among the two.
And if Deontay Wilder wins, there will probably be the fourth fight. Nevertheless, the bout is months away. A couple of weeks ago, sources claimed that the duo will most likely clash on December 19, 2020. However, the British boxer is growing impatient. He wants to fight soon. Check out his latest tweet below.
Fury has no choice but to battle against Wilder. He is contractually bound to fight the former champion. As far as the legacy is concerned, Fury need not box Wilder. The 32-year-old already fought the American. Besides the knockdowns from the first fight, Fury did a phenomenal job of outboxing Wilder.
In the second fight, Fury exposed a major hole in Wilder’s game; the Bronze Bomber could not fight moving backward. As a result, Fury marched him down and forced a corner stoppage in the seventh round. It is safe to say Fury is the better boxer and has much better fundamentals than Wilder.
If one were to take out Wilder from the picture, Fury has a ton of options in front of him. He can fight Anthony Joshua and unify the belts. Or he can defend his WBC title against the winner of Dillian Whyte vs Alexander Povetkin. Nonetheless, Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury 3 will be an interesting fight. The match will show the fans whether Wilder can fix the holes in his game and reclaim his lost gold.
